Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging text based service.

Tweets  are the messages that are sent and received. It is micro blogging because posts are up to 140 characters long. The tweets are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers).

Twitter is here to Stay

Twitter is the fastest growing site in the Member Communities category. Twitter had a growth of 1382% in February 2009.

I remember when Twitter first came out. It was the "buzz" with the Techies for sometime. The Egghead Brigade.
When I heard the anchorman on the news the other day.."If you want to hear more about 'this event' go to my twitter on the station's website. When it goes mainstream then it needs serious consideration about how we are communicating today.

The Agenda

The Agenda is always referring to Twitter. "Give us your comments" on Twitter.

Twitter has become well respected since it has covered a lot of important facets of the communications spectrum. Being a former programmer and voice network analyst myself of 12 years, I admire their skills. BRAVO to you TWITTER guys & gals!
